Living just a handful of blocks away, returning this weekend was a reminder about how lucky we are to live so close to such a wonderful restaurant. also need to give major credit to the service/waitstaff for being so on it despite the unusual circumstances of eating fine dining outdoors. Major kudos to the sommelier who also recommended one of my new favorite bottles of wine.",

    "review_text": "So like many of you, before I came here, I scrolled through the reviews to see what people recommended the most here. By far away, everyone raved about the hot fried chicken. Now I am a disbeliever in restaurant fried chicken-it rarely lives up to the hype. However, I am also easily fooled and have always wanted to try hot chicken. And so, fool that I am, I order it. Folks, this was nowhere near hot. I even doused the sad thing in hot sauce only to get a mild tingle. Don't get me wrong, it was perfectly cooked and in a good quantity. But bland as can be and certainly not anywhere near \"hot\". At $30, I definitely expected more. I arrived on a Sunday around mid-morning for brunch and was seated once the other member of my party arrived. The restaurant is quite large with plenty of seating available. Most of the tables were unoccupied when we first got there. The service was decent, nothing special to write home about. I got the double cheddar burger and nothing about it justified the price point ($25). While the presentation was nice, I wouldn't go seeking this burger. There are other places that do a much better burger at a much lower price point.",

    "review_text": "Tour de France of haute cuisines!  Thank you Daniel Boulud for creating Le Pavillion, a needed sanctuary amidst Covid-19.  Impeccable services.Have not dressed up since Dec 2019.  Today we went to Le Pavillon to celebrate many milestones:  a biochemistry doctorate, high school admissions and a  9th anniversary of a lovely couple.  The ambiance was delightful and the bar area ceiling was adorned  with beautiful Dale Chihuly like chandelier.The crudo was delicious.  The halibut with shiitake mushroom and consommé was delicious.  Sirloin was fresh and the lobster was flavorful. Highly recommend!!",

    "review_text": "Made reservations well in advance for two - used platinum Amex conceirge - worst table I've ever gotten there.  We were behind servers' station with their asses in our face and no opportunity to enjoy the restaurant with every single server coming to station.  Be careful and call ahead if you have reservations to make sure they don't screw you on location.  I've been 8-10 times and this was not experience i was hoping to show my friend - especially when her pick was Carbone which was a 10/10 experience.  The Mussels were good - frites a little greasy and not crispy.  Service was good also.  Steak was very good according to my guest.",

    "review_text": "Anyone who wants to eat here should definitely make a reservation as it is very busy and it seems to be the staff tends to get overwhelmed or is always in a rush which is expected considering how popular and how many people can eat here. Having a reservation at least gives you the chance to have a table ready for you during peak hours or on a weekend. And it seemed as if there was only one waiter for the entire outside section which I know isn't their fault but it really slows everything down like asking for water, or ordering food or even getting the check at the end. I had the eggs Benedict with home fries and my mom had the steak frites and we shared a shrimp cocktail. The shrimp cocktail came first and for $25 you get 6 large shrimp which tbh wasn't really worth it, I think if we had skipped it and waited for the main course we have been fine but it wasn't bad either, just didn't stand out for the price.  My eggs were nice and runny and the English muffin and bacon was actually really tasty and pleasant. The home fries were excellent as well and having some of the yolk run onto them made it better. The steak was pretty good as well but it wasn't really anything to standout again but the fries were really nice and crisp, they reminded me of McDonald's fries but just crispier. Overall I'd say the food is pretty good here but I don't think the prices really reflect so much on that. Especially when you pay for pricy food and service is slow and you have to wait so long to ask for something or receive your food. It's a nice place to try but I don't think it's something I'd keep coming back to.",

We had steak for entree, which made us wait for about 40 mins and tbh, I cook better steak than them, this is ridiculous. I also had to ask for check twice, and waited another 15mins. There's literally no service at all, we had to pour water by ourselves. I literally wasted two hours of my precious time. DO NOT RECOMMEND.",

I had waited over 1.5 years to go to a 3-Michelin star restaurant in NYC to celebrate a milestone occasion. When I heard Chef Humm was taking Eleven Madison completed plant-based, there was no other option for me as a vegetarian. We went in mid/late August 2021 for the summer menu. The meal was to die for, I especially appreciated techniques and world cuisines that were incorporated into our meal (like the mini tomato-filled dosas and pine nut chutney - yay India!). I presumed the place would be super stuffy, given high-class clientele who can afford these meals, but the staff and most guests seemed very down-to-Earth and the service was superb, everyone was kind. Loved that we left with some treats as well - a bag with a signature tin containing the details of our menu and blueberry granola, again in a signature, reusable container. So cute & sweet! Chef Humm even comes out and rounds all the tables and says hello to all the guests - he really knows how to #makeitnice! I hope I can come back one day and try a winter vegan menu! Thank you to Chef Humm & everyone at Eleven Madison for making the night super \"nice,\" (especially for the bold choice of going vegan and helping our environment & future)!",

Fair warning your hands will get sticky and the outside of the bread is not soft so maybe not for people with sensitive teeth. (Make sure you also get a PB Choc chip and a Choc chip walnut cookie while there because seriously how can you go to Levain and not get a cookie??)",

    "review_text": "What more can be said about the undisputed king of cookies? Many reviews focus only on Levain's signature chocolate chip cookie and this one will be no different. I'm willing to bet, based on the success of that mountain of gooey goodness alone, everything Levain bakes is probably delicious--but I wouldn't know. Having been this location half a dozen times while visiting the Upper West Side, I promise myself I'll try something new each time, but never do. So, look, I won't bother with describing the semi-crispy outer texture or the almost liquid/uncooked dough center of this absolutely heavenly concoction, but will rather use this Yelp Review to ask if, at this point, you really need yet more convincing as to whether or not Levain is worth a pop-in, what, dear reader, is even going on in your life? Just do it.",

The regular dark chocolate peanut butter was slightly better. The cookies are thick, gooey and sweet. Not sure if we will be back, but it was worth a try!",

Inside the store they have many workers taking your order and the line moves quite fast. They even have a water pitcher for those who might a refreshing drink. We tried the chocolate walnut and the dark choco with peanut butter. To start we tasted the dark choco one, which we thought had a good distribution of peanut butter chips making for that beautiful cross section photo. Although I wasn't expecting the peanut to be in the form of a chip it was yummy nonetheless.... a little on the sweet side for me personally. The choco walnut cookie was a little too sweet for my liking to order again but it was a solid cookie! Love walnuts in my baked goods :)",

Attentive but not in your face service and a great variety of tastes and textures.For our 4 course meal we started with a light amuse bouche that was vibrant and delicious. Wonderful start. The tomato consommé was interesting, gelatinous tomato with a smoky flavor. Hamachi toro accompaniment was nice but it quite sure how it fit with the tomato dish.The Sturgeon and Sauerkraut tart was the star for me. Delicious, unique, and one of the best bites in NYC.The bass dish was nice; though unremarkable. And I tried a bit of the speciality duck and personally was glad I didn't order it (if you like bacon though, it might be for you).And the dessert was top notch. Nice paired with an amaro.",
