"PostText": "TLDR: high-volume and low-intensity activity reduces inflammation and improves eczema symptoms.\nI've had a fairly severe and debilitating flair-up of my eczema over the last few years and I've put some effort into tracking my skin symptoms against what I do and what my body is exposed to. The most significant and enduring (non-steroidal) method to reduce inflammation I have noticed is exercise. Having read into it, there is literature to support this too!\nInflammation is produced as part of your immune response to stressors. An individual with eczema is likely to have elevated inflammation since their skin barrier is compromised and their immune system may be overreacting to everyday stressors. Reducing inflammation can improve the eczema symptoms by reducing redness, calming the heat in the skin and reducing pain.\nHigh-intensity exercise has been shown to increase inflammation levels in the body whereas low to moderate intensities can reduce inflammation levels. In real-terms, strenuous interval training is likely to increase inflammation, walking or jogging at talking pace could be beneficial for eczema.\nThere have been times my eczema was so bad I didn't want to do anything for fear of triggering my skin to get worse. Sweating can agitate sensitive areas and overheating can trigger hives to come up. It's important to know what makes your skin worse and manage those aspects. I've experimented with different activities to find what works best for me because the benefits of exercise are so worth it. Personally, I like to walk and do yoga. When I'm feeling more adventurous, I'll run or cycle. Social exercise out in nature compounds the benefits.\nI wanted to share this to encourage anyone out there to find the activity which works with their condition. Keep moving, keep living and stay strong :)",

"PostText": "Yeah! I've experienced this.\nMy skin would be pretty bad. During those times I would not go out to run or cycle thinking I might tear my skin or sweating would cause intense burning like sensation.\nBut once or twice I forced myself to go out. Immediately after the exercise it would be pretty bad, itchy, red etc. But in just a few days, there would be some improvement!",
